The Monkees was preempted on ABC by American Bandstand's 20th Anniversary Show. JUNE 26, 1967 "I've Got A Little Song Here," Episode No. 12 of The Monkees (prod. #4707, aired on NBC November 28, 1966), was repeated @ 7:30 p.m. EDT on NBC, with a new song added: "For Pete's Sake," written by Peter Tork & Joseph Richards and produced by Douglas Farthing Hatlelid. The sponsor this week was Yardley Of London™. Trivia Footnote: "For Pete's Sake" would later be adapted as the second-season closing theme for The Monkees. JUNE 26, 1971 "Some Like It Lukewarm" (a.k.a. "The Band Contest"), Episode No. 56 of The Monkees (prod. #4754, aired on NBC March 4 and August 19, 1968), was repeated @ 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS. JUNE 27, 1970 "Fairytale," Episode No. 48 of The Monkees (prod. #4748, aired on NBC January 8 and June 23, 1968), was repeated @ noon EDT on CBS. |
