It depends on how the downloads are put out. They can be as good as CDs, but usually are not. I want the physical product, keep the downloads for the special outtakes that didn't make the set (like when they put complete versions of a couple of HQ sessions tracks), or as an alt method of purchase.

I'm also from the old school. I prefer cover art, liner notes, etc. But I wouldn't want that to stand in the way of a release. If they're gonna hold back a release because they have to make physical CD's, then they need to just go ahead and release them as downloads. Or, possibly, podcasts. Anything would be better than not releasing them.

Hopefully that won't happen for awhile! But yeah, if/when the format is compleatly dead and not selling, then I'll go for other formats.

I guess I'm still waiting and hoping for the following CD reissues:

Micky Dolenz Singles Collection
David Jones (Colpix album)
Davy Jones (Bell album)
Micky Dolenz & Davy Jones The Point! album
Micky Dolenz unreleased album from early 70's
The Monkees Live 1966 in Phoenix, Arizona
The Monkees LIve 1969
Micky Dolenz & Davy Jones Together Again
Davy Jones Hello Davy: Davy Jones Live!
Peter Tork & The New Monks Peter's Back (single)
Peter Tork Live At CBGB's

Plus any others that have not yet been mentioned, or that can't remember right now. At least this would be a start. Maybe after they're done with the Monkees Mono album reissues.

Most of that stuff has been bootlegged, I'm presuming you have that stuff on the original formats?

Yes. I have almost all of this on vinyl. I just wish I had it on remastered CD. However, sometimes, the vinyl sounds better.

I bought the new live import, it looks to be from 2001. But I'm not sure which exact show/concert.
