First off, for those of you that didn't buy the new reissues...do it! Saying and doing
are two different things.

But yes, we fans have to make some noise too. Write, en masse!

And yes, while Rhino has been quiet on the western front about things, I'm sure
they are working too. But buy, buy, buy!

I think the only release by Rhino for the Monkees I did not buy was Monkees For Kids back in the 90's. Everything else I have purchased.
Most everyone posting in this forum should have purchased the Deluxe sets, otherwise why would they be on a site advertising the Deluxe sets?I'm sure there are a few holdouts, but they are in the minority for sure. These are great sets, and I sure hope Rhino puts out the rest on Deluxe like Andrew originally announced (different company now, I know- it's not Andrew who is holding the releases back).
If you really want to make Rhino sit up andtake notice, a letter writing campaign needs to happen, not emails. A physical letter, which takes time to go to the post office and mail, makes a much larger impact than a simple type and press send email.Anyone have a mailing address for Rhino?

Yes... I agree with Bob T... these are exceptional sets. The sound quality ranges from improved to greatly improved over other releases and the packaging is impressive. Having a mono and stereo version is a huge bonus.

I would STRONGLY encourage people to purchase these as opposed to getting illegal downloads. I am not a big supporter AT ALL of the recording industry and believe most of their current problems they can lay at their own doorstep. However, when they do something right... like issuing discs with quality remastering, numerous bonus tracks, thorough liner notes and top notch packaging, then they deserve our dollars. I have purchased each set and have never been disappointed. Your dollars are like a vote... if you want more Deluxe Editions, you need to vote for them with your wallet/purse.
