Noticed on amazon that Micky Dolenz's two CDs for Kid Rhino are fetching $100 and more ! Any chance Rhino will re-issue them?

Who owns the rights to Micky's post Monkees rock singles ? Would be nice to see them compiled together.

Micky's solo stuff would be excellent as a Rhino Handmade CD. Especially, his solo singles from MGM, Lion, Romar and Chrysalis. I wonder who owns the rights?

I'm glad I got them way back when. I thought Rhino did a good job with Micky. I've heard most of his post-Monkees 70's singles and I think "Oh Someone" & "Love War" at least should get an official re-release--they're the 2 best and are quite good. I see that "Plastic Symphony EP" CD contains his pre-Monkees recordings, but they're really not that good and don't compare to his post-Monkees recordings.

At least two of his post-Monkee 45's that were released on Gene Autry's Challenge Label,"Huff Puff" and "Don't Do It" were reissued on the Collectables Colored Vinyl Box set in the '90's (I think it's still in print...But,I don't know offhand.) Michael Boyce

"Huff Puff" and "Don't Do It" are both on the CD "Plastic Symphony EP" available from Amazon.com. Nice packaging.

I would love it if Rhino released a singles compilation of Micky's post-Monkees work. I've often wondered why he never made an entire album. I have his demo CD "Demoiselle" and I also have the two titles from kid Rhino "Puts You To Sleep" , "Broadway Micky" and a "Live" cd he released a while back. All good stuff.

Considering he sang lead on more of the hits than the other Monkees ,it is surprising there wern't more records by Micky, post Monkees.

Clearly he was more intrested in directing tv in England.

was "The Point" cast lp by Micky & Davy ever released on CD ? Have the vinyl.

"The Point" Original Cast Lp has never appeared on Cd, commercially.

I have the Lp and I actually like it quite a bit. I wish it would get a CD release.

Andrew told Goldmine mag in 1996 that there is also a unreleased Micky solo album from the 70's from around that time. The label would own this and the singles.

It's a matter of sorting the rights and Rhino may one day do some solo stuff, they have been talking about it since 1986!

Yes. We absolutely need a 3 Disc set of Micky Dolenz.

Disc 1: The singles
Disc 2: The Unreleased album
Disc 3: Unreleased demos, live tracks, etc.

There was a Japan import on vinyl that collected Davy's & Micky's solo singles, also the bootlegs which pop up on ebay from time to time.

Yeah, there are plenty of bootlegs. I just wish there was an official version out there. I would prefer that.

There was an offical vinyl release in Japan!

It was just collecting post-Monkees solo singles/songs.

It was called Micky Dolenz & Davy Jones, you might see it on the LTTB poster, it has a OBI strip.

Oh yeah. I have that. I was talking about an official CD release. I have two vinyl albums from Japan by Micky Dolenz & Davy Jones. I have "You're A Lady" and "The Point." Both need to be issued on CD. Hey, if "Changes" is CD worthy, then these definitely are. I wonder who owns the rights.
