What's the differences between the following Davy Jones albums:

Hello Davy: Davy Jones Live!
Live In Japan
Davy Jones Sings The Hits Of The Monkees
Davy Sings The Monkees & More
the live tracks on Just For The Record, Volume 3

What's the difference between these recordings? Are they all the same? Are they all from the same concert? Or what?

The first two are different shows, even different years I believe.


The live tracks on JFTR III are taken from one of the live Japan show.

No, none of these are boots. All of these are legit releases from Davy Jones. "Sings The Hits Of The Monkees" came out on K-Tel Records in the early 80's. "Sings The Monkees & More" came out on Dome Press in 1988 from Davy Jones directly. I was just wondering about all of these variations on Davy Jones performing live.

I was hoping for info on those two online esp, the live japan albums that is.


I think the other live albums were perhaps reissues but under a different title of the Japan solo live LPs?

Unfortunately, the liner notes on the albums don't really give much info.

Why isn't Davy getting on this stuff being reissue? Esp if they were distributed by him?
