I received my unreleased 45 today (for buying the next two deluxe edition CD's)........................
Rhino has done a fantastic job on the picture sleeve. It’s just like the Colgems 45's of the 60's. The record also mirrors Colgems look, but with Rhino inserted. As for the music, 1/ I didn’t know you had it in you, Sally is the unreleased track. It’s a 1920's vaudeville style with Micky on lead vocal. He even uses a megaphone effect on some verses. The song is OK, but I see why it stayed in the vault. 2/ Daydream believer-special mix. This is quite cool. It's the version we all love, but minus the horns. You can really hear Davy & the mix. It sounds great. At the end, they have about eight seconds of track after it usually fades. You hear Davy playing around, and the track ends abruptly....................
All in all, a really nice bonus gift from Rhino. Thanks!!! It makes me more anxious for the CD's...Jeff
Andrew: serious question here.. you don't happen to have any spare 45 sleeves ONLY do you? Mine came 2nd day FedEx today and the "packaging" one piece of cardboard folded over, was smashed horribly in the left hand corner totally ruining the top portion of the pic sleeve (record itself appears to be fine)I've been on hold for over 20 minutes with Rhino customer service, and I'm dubious about the outcome.. was hoping to frame & display the sleeve, but not THIS copy!!
I'm sticking my head in here from the SH Forum. I just want to say THANK YOU for the single which arrived today. It is a nice little item and a neat thing to hold in my hands.
I read Dangie's post up thread. I know from personal experience that Rhino's customer service is above par. I know that Dangie's issue will be resolved.
I hope that Rhino is not discouraged from doing things like this in the future..or further Monkees Deluxe releases..because of any possible quality issues with the single.
I can handle an imperfect sleeve or single if it means more Monkees Deluxe releases.
We are really looking forward to release day and seeing what response these CDs get. I know that everyone is knocked out with how they look and sound so far. As for the single, we will resolve the issues as soon as we talk to the manfacturer and see what can be done.

I wanted to update that Rhino Customer Service IS doing right by me. They emailed a PDF postage free return label to send back the damaged 45, and are re-sending a new single as well. Andrew I'm grateful for YOUR prompt reply & concern on this board.I hope my post yesterday didn't come off as angry or negative, I'm just looking forward to displaying that sleeve!
Anxiously awaiting the new reissues, really excited to sink my teeth into Andrew's liners.. NO ONE has told the Monkees' saga better!
I'm gathering that you have to send the damaged sleeve/record back? I pre-ordered two sets of cds and got two singles. One for a friend. I gave him his tonight and he opened his up. Slight folding on the sleeve and very slight warble.
We both agreed that we would rather keep what we have then have to send them back. At the worst, we would want a new sleeve alone and keep the record. But if it means sending the whole thing back, we would rather keep them. We just don't think that it's that big of a deal.
If you have a problem with the Monkees single, you may contact Dr. Rhino and he will send you a replacement sleeve or disc (depending on which was the problem). If both were a problem, he can fix that too. No need to send back your the problem single. If you already have a resolution in progress with customer service, no need to start again. Nevertheless, if you are unsatisfied by the customer service resolution, feel free to contact Dr. Rhino. Be mindful that it will be a few weeks before we have replacement discs. We should have spare sleeves sooner. We are sorry about the frustration and confusion.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what REAL customer service is about.
Bar none.
I intend to say 'thank you' to Rhino by purchasing another set in the store on July 10 in addition to the two sets that I ordered from Rhino. It will not only be a thank you, but it will also be another vote for the series to continue.
Those of you who have the means, the purchase of an extra cd or two will not only ensure that the series will continue, but I KNOW that you know someone who might like to discover "Pisces" or Headquarters"...or both.
I received my single a couple of days ago, and my notification for the CDs being shipped today! Awesome!
I like the song on the 45, and immediately transferred it to CD--the Monkees previously unreleased stuff is still better than other bands. Great job Rhino! You know how to do things right.
