Just a little question regarding the Deluxe Version of "More of The Monkees"...
How come "Ladies Aid Society" is on this set instead of "The Monkees Present"? If it's because it was recorded during these sessions then how come "Looking For The Good Times" isn't on this set as well? Wasn't that recorded during these sessions as well?
Because this was a mono version that was mixed during MOTM. The stereo version would be, of course, be on a Present deluxe set- if it gets that far. Same thing for why a mono version of I Won't Be the Same Without Her shows up here and not on Instant Replay Bob T
Here's another observation on "Looking For the Good Times" that I would like to mention to Andrew. Although the track is obviously from the MORE OF THE MONKEES sessions, and a finished vocal was probably done at the time, the vocal on THE MONKEES PRESENT is obviously from around '69 when they were doing new vocals on old tracks. You can clearly tell the difference in Davy's voice, plus the backing vocals are definitely Micky & Coco, who I don't believe did any vocals together at the time of MORE OF THE MONKEES. - I wonder if there is a '67 mix of that song with original vocals.
