Hi Andrew,
I was listening to the MOTM Deluxe set today, and I came up with a couple of questions:
I noticed that all of the songs from this set all have, at some time, had a stereo version except for I'll Be Back Upon My Feet. I was wondering why this song never had a stereo mix made- are the elements of the mix lost, only a mono master available?
Also, You did great stereo mixes for the bonus tracks of I'm A Believer, and Look Out( Here Comes Tomorrow- Much better than the original Stereo mixes, which were a mono backing track with some percussion and vocals mixed into the stereo picture. The same is true of the original stereo mixes of Hold On Girl, Sometime In The Morning and Laugh. Is there any chance that remixes can be made of these songes in the same way? It's a shame that these 3 songs sound so faux- stereo.
Thanks in advance for any answers you can provide.

Bob T

The multi-tracks for "I'll Be Back Up On My Feet" (version one) are currently MIA.

Get ready for some great sounding More Of The Monkees surround sound remixes in the very near future!

To Andrew;

Any chance of a Nesmith project in the future? I'd like to see his First National Band recordings get the deluxe edition treatment. I heard samples of the quad releases and they were unbelievable.

Just a thought...
Thanks for everything Monkees;

I do believe Nesmith owns all of the FNB recordings, not Rhino.

Yeah I know, Nez owns all his own stuff except for his Monkee recordings but Rhino could get the liscense from Nez like they did for "Older" & "Newer Stuff".

Now that would be great! Besides the 8-track versions, I'm sure there's a lot of great unreleased songs just waiting to be heard too! But I wouldn't stop there--I'd go beyond that and go through Tropical Campfires...

Oh, man!

I can't wait to hear more stuff!
I know some people have complained in the past about the reissues, but I think they are well worth every cent!
Keep 'em coming.

Nez will be remixing the Whistle sings reissue, maybe the others. The first 6 LPs were reissued earlier this decade and those sound great.

I'd love to hear the Quad Matrix versions of Mike's RCA albums. Those must be awesome.

Wait a minute....I've notice while listening to the PAC & J LTD deluxe reissue, the TV version of Riu Chu was included...

that would mean they got it from the TV soundtrack, now why can't they issue more of the TV soundtrack rare mixes and/or 33 1/3 Mad

Disc 1: Live In Japan 1968
Disc 2: 33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee

Throw in a fourth disc, include the 20th anniversary live CD (released legit) and you'd have a live boxset somewhat!

2001 would have been perfect as Fishoff was back in the fold.

It was reported that they were gonna record some new material including some remakes of their past hits.

Total Control (revised ed) said that some tracks were recorded but not released from that session.

Another Monkee myth, did they film a few episodes of Turn On that are unaired/released in 1969?
