Any word on the next deluxe edition sets? Will we have "Birds, Bees, Monkees" & "Head" by Summer or years end? Do tell.

Andrew dropped a egg about a HEAD sp ed, on the podcast w/ Nez. Not sure if it's a CD or DVD or both!

It sounds more like a CD that he was speaking of, to me anyway.

There has been some speculation that a CD/DVD Combo could be possible - since there wasn't a dedicated mono mix of the LP.

Either way, an update from Sandoval would be much welcomed and appreciated.

a widescreen version of the movie on DVD would be nice, plus some more special features, commentary etc.

I like the idea of a CD/DVD release. I wish they would reissue the original 2-hour director's cut. That would be awesome!

I know the album was issued in MONO in other countries so even a deluxe duophonic CD release would work as with the other four 2-CD sets.


I heard about the film being longer in some books.

Maybe they could do two 2-disc sets. A 2-disc CD set and a 2-disc DVD set. Both versions of the album and both versions of the movie. Or, they could do a CD/DVD set. Have both versions of the album on one 2-sided CD and both versions of the movie on one 2-sided DVD.

Hi all, new here. I am awaiting the HEAD release & hope they brush up on the sound quality of the movie soundtrack, as well as the TV shows if they ever get around to that. A CD/DVD combo would be great with a mirrored slipcover!

The only way I can see the TV show being brushed up, would be the next format. Blu-ray or whatever's upcoming.

That would probably be downloads from the internet. One episode at a time. I think that eventually most tv shows will go to that. A lot of people, like me, don't want every episode of every series, but I would like certain episodes from several shows.

I think net downloads would still be a few years away, I wonder where blu-ray fits into all of this?
