The first two were packaged so nicely and now these two. When the entire set is done, this is going to be -by far- the best remastered, reissued set out there by any group.

The vinyl sounds cool. Can you tell us, Andrew, if these 2 tracks will surface on later deluxe editions marking their first debut on CD?

We currently have no plans to issue these two tracks on CD. The reaction to these upcoming CDs and the vinyl single will definitely dictate what we release in the future.

Oh, I'm positive these will sell through the roof. The Monkees Headquarters and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd. are the biggest, most popular and most well-known of The Monkees' releases, what with their being group-oriented.

Looking forward to hearing The Original Mono Album of The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees on the CD reissue in time for its Ruby Anniversary sometime in '08! Big Grin

Hello Andrew and everyone.

I just registered, and this is my first post here. Andrew, I'm really looking forward to hearing the new releases. However, I have a few questions for you (and everyone else here). When I order both Headquarters and PACJ at the same time, in order to receive the free single, I receive a message that the site is experiencing "technical difficulties" and will not allow me to continue. However, if I order them one at a time (say, when I order just Headquarters and go to checkout), everything works fine.
If I order them one at a time instead of both at the same time, would I still get the single?Or, are all the singles sold out and the system will not allow anyone to order both CDs at the same time (in order to not get the single)?
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Thanks, everyone.

-Debbie

RetroDebbie1 - I'm having problems with ordering too, and have e-mailed the shop direct. I live in the UK and so can only buy the single, so hopefully they'll look into this soon. You might want to e-mail them as well.

I was assured today that they are trying to work out these problems and we are all sorry for the frustration.

It looks like everything's fixed now. I just placed my order for both CDs and the single, and it went through! Thanks, Andrew and the folks at Rhino.

BTW, Andrew, are there any plans in the works for any kind of event in the Los Angeles area to celebrate the release of these CDs (like when you hosted the showing of "Head" at the Nuart to celebrate the release of the first two collections)?

Yes we are working on a few possible events to coincide with the release. This site will be the first place to get the news when plans are finalized.

I'm afraid the website is still not letting me order the single a UK customer - Andrew, can you advise, please? Do I need to phone customer services?

Sorry for the hassle!

It's no hassle for me. I had heard that the situation had improved, but I will find out the best contact to email or phone and post it here tomorrow. When I asked today, there were still singles left, so never fear!

Will the 'Listen' section of this site be posting song samples of the new releases soon? Will there be a listening party? I ordered both sets plus the 7", just wondering if we could get a sneak peek. Missed the radio show. Heard it rocked.
