Hey hey:

My '60s inspired radio program, "Come To The Sunshine" returns this Monday, June 11th from 4
to 6PM (PST) on www.luxuriamusic.com

It should have a lot of music that Monkees fans will enjoy, in fact the whole second hour will be devoted to the guys themselves!

Here's what you'll hear: Singles in mono by Two Bits/The Travel Agency/The Hung Jury (on Colgems)/The Gants/The Imaginations/Shelly Fabares/3's A Crowd/The Lamp Of
Childhood/Barry Mann/The Knack/These Vizitors/The Hearts And Flowers

Also, we'll have a little peak at the upcoming Sundazed CD release by
Smokey & His Sister. This issue of the duo's unreleased Columbia
album from '66/'67 is one of the few undiscovered gems of the '60s as
yet untouched. It is a gorgeous group of songs.

In our second hour, we will take a listen to the Monkees in 1967 (in
anticipation of the Headquarters and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn &
Jones Ltd. CDs coming in July).

Thanks,

Andrew Sandoval

I missed the show. I had to work. I heard it totally rocked. There are quite a few people who were encouraged after listening to order the new sets. I only needed to hear that they were ready for pre-order.

Is the broadcast archived anywhere? And, will the 'Listen' section of this site be posting samples or a listening party for either new release?

This might be of some interest to Monkees fans. This past Friday would have been Harry Nilsson's 66th birthday and in his honor we are going to "Duit On Mon Dei" with an all Nilsson
edition of "Come To The Sunshine." The broadcast goes out live from Los Angeles on www.luxuriamusic.com from 4 to 6 PM (PST).

The first half of the show will focus on Harry's music from 1965-1970
with demos, session work (The Family Tree/The Addrisi Brothers),
covers (Herb Alpert, Astrud Gilberto, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael
Nesmith), interviews, commercials and assorted rarities.

Hour two will feature both his Pandemonium Shadow Show and Ariel
Ballet albums in full in MONO. These mixes have never been on CD and
were only issued in the US (UK albums were foldovers of the stereo
mixes). In particular, Ariel Ballet is extremely rare and very
different from its stereo counterpart.

See you all there,

Andrew Sandoval
