I guess I would be called a second generation fan, with reruns of the show during the 70's. A bad time to be a fan with little to be had in the way of buyable records (the Arista Greatest Hits and Laurie House 2-record set were about all I could find.) I wish I knew about Dolenz Jones Boyce & Hart at the time. No, I had to find out 10-15 years later when copies of that record were much more expensive. Anywho, 30 years.

I'm a 20th Anniversary Fan. I first saw the Monkees series in December 1986, when we got Cable TV. The first episode I saw was "Monkee See, Monkee Die." I thought that was so funny!

The funniest line from that episode: "This is a recording. I'm sorry I can't be with you now, but I'm dead. And what can I say, except 'Wish you were here.'"

I love that. I ended up getting "Then & Now...The Best Of The Monkees" on cassette (remember cassettes?). That's when I started collecting Monkees. I now have a huge collection. Wow, what a life-changing experience.
