I'm sure it'd be in Andrews book.

Hey... I just read this now and I don't believe that it is Davy playing bass, I believe it is the bass keyboard. From what I can hear sonically, I feel that the majority of the bass is played on keyboard, particularly when Davy is singing lead on a song like that. I'm quite sure Davy is playing bass on "I'm a Believer". And though he is not credited for it on the LIVE 1967 disc, I believe he is on bass there too. Hopefully that can sonically give you some reference between the keyboard and the bass guitar. (which is very hard to tell on the quality of that tape, since Peter is using his left hand on the organ as well)

There is a picture on page 141 of "Hey Hey We're The Monkees" (edited by Harold Bronson) that has the Monkees on stage in 1968 (Bearded Peter) and the picture is taken from the side view, as Micky is not in the picture. Anyway it has Mike playing his white Gibson SG, Peter on keyboards (looks like the organ he played in "33 1/3 Revolutions Per Monkee") and Davy on bass. I can't tell what kind of bass it is, as the picture is taken from the side (backstage, maybe?). But there he is, the Manchester Cowboy on bass.

So, Davy did play bass on the 1968 Far East Tour. But as to which songs/concerts he actually played bass? I don't know. My only guess is that if you hear guitar, bass and keyboards on one song (on the Live 1968 tape) then, it's most likely Davy playing bass.
