Any news on the 2008 slate of Monkees re-issues from Rhino? Andrew?

Yes... isn't the 40th ann of Birds, bees, Monkees next month? What would be really cool would be to offer some small sound clips from the upcoming releases on this website (maybe starting next week). Give us a listen to the pristine mono versions of the album or some other rare treat from the sessions. Maybe offer two new short clips each week to help bring up the anticipation levels.

There's some solo reissue offering from Davy and Michael to tide you over in the meanwhile!

Do you find it odd that no one other than Andrew Sandoval has ever answered any questions asked of Rhino on this Rhino board?
Maybe it's time to ask Dr. Rhino over on the Rhino .com site?

... not to mention that Andrew seems to have stopped replying or talking about The Monkees altogether ...

What gives?

I'm sure he's busy and he did say a few posts back to be patience!


Dr. Rhino probably get's lots of emails too as well, not so much for Monkees related questions but Rhino products too I'm sure.

I emailed Dr. Rhino and he reply'd that there is no information regarding any future Monkees releases... :-(

Isn't there a hotline, ringtone phone-thingy w/ updates?

I know there used to be a Rhino Monkees Hotline. I used to call it all the time. I wonder if it still works. Well, it doesn't matter, since I've long since forgotten the number.

I'm sure, an announcement would be made either here or on the Monkees.net site.

Monkees.net ? Are you kidding? They hardly ever update that site. You'll hear about the new releases after they are released.

By the way, The Nez reissues are awesome. The sound and packaging are really cool. "Wichita" has instrumentation I never even heard before due to the sonic improvement.

I have to agree about monkees.net. That website is dead. I found this one by accident and I'm glad I did. They should take monkees.net down or use it as a mirror to this site.

I've seen the monkeesrule43 website. It seems that they only update it once every couple of years or so.
