Can someone from Rhino - Andrew, anyone - please post some Monkees news?
Is the web-site ever going to be updated with rare unreleased mp3s and video? Are the Deluxe Editions of "Birds, Bees & The Monkees" & "Head" going to be released in 2008 or 2009? Are there ANY future releases of The Monkees by Rhino? Please respond - ANYONE - Thanks, Derek T Columbus, Ohio |

We all feel your pain. Even if the answer is "nothing on the schedule for now", we would at least have an answer.

Maybe they're still having trouble trying to locate all of the mono tapes from The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees. Either that, or Andy Sandoval has a monstrously hectic schedule...

So anyone else going to the Head screening?
Any more info on how/where to get there would be great (by anyone) as I'm looking into traveling. I'm really hoping that like the Back To The Future DVD boxset, that this is recorded, either filmed or voice taped and included as a separate commentary track. For those who can't make it, heck put it on a two-disc special edition DVD and/or Blu-ray. Along w/ the bonus episodes being screened, commericals etc. |

I'm planning on going! :-)
I'm looking forward to it--it should be a lot of fun. The Web site for the Egyptian Theatre, where the screening will be held, is www.egyptiantheatre.com. There you will find info about the theater, tickets, parking, directions, etc. The theater itself is on Hollywood Boulevard, and the nearest intersection is Hollywood Blvd and Highland Blvd. The nearest big landmark is the Hollywood and Highland complex (a *big* shopping area/theater complex next to Grauman's Chinese Theater where the Oscars are held--lots of people and activity there; you can't miss it). The Egyptian is down the street (head toward the Ripley's Museum and walk about a block or so). The theater is on your right--look for a sign that says "American Cinematheque." Hope that helps! -Debbie |

I'm told that Roosevelt and Renessiance hotels are closest to the theater, are they walking distance? How much estimate for a cab?
|

Marty -
Both those hotels are just a block or two away from the Egyptian - about a five minute walk at most. No cab needed, you'll just have to fight your way through the crowds on Hollywood Blvd. |

Oh wonderful, thanks Andrew.
Do you know if there'll be a signing or meet & greet of some sort? I'm just wondering if it's worth it to bring a few items to get signed. Also if those hotels provide shuttle services? To Airports that is. |
