I'm a fan of the Monkees, so it was a great thrill to have Micky Dolenz show up at an industry listening party for Duran Duran's forthcoming album in NYC last night.

Micky was incredibly friendly, and he agreed to pose for a photo with me taken by a friend who insisted it would come out alright without the flash.



I just thought Monkee fans would get a kick out of his being there.

Duran Duran is a guilty pleasure for me.

They were fans of the Monkees too as well.

Anyone seen the Duran Duran film "Arena"?

Never trust anyone else with a camera that insists a picture will turn out well without a flash. They should have used a digital camera, that way, they would know if the picture turned out. I know that I would be upset with these picture results, if it was me.

Anybody else like Rod Stewart/Faces? I heard they might be reuniting!
