Oh yeah. The "Live At The Britt" CD set is great. Great sound and an excellent performance. Between it and "Palais" there should be enough justification for him to release more concerts. If he would do that, it would be an awesome set of CD's. Michael Nesmith "The Live Stuff" it has a nice ring to it.

That same Goldmine 91 interview w/ Nez, he also said that he had other live (better) tapes too. And he might be looking to release them.

But he still hasn't! I know some odd MP3s are on his site that have not been released (some live songs too). Strangly he didn't include them as bonus tracks for these new reissues.

They are also on the "Belivin In Daydreams" bootleg set.

Yeah. Those tracks performed live at Armadillo World Headquarters and the Gretch Concert are awesome. He needs to release those two entire concerts. Those few songs were some of the best live performances by *anybody*, especially Nez. He's holding back his best stuff.

Word is that Nez feels that "Live At The Britt" is his best performance that was recorded along with an incredible band, therefore he sees no need to release any other live album. Which is why "Live At The Palais" wasn't included with the Demon Edsel release campaign of the 'Pacific Arts Years'.

I'd love to have more live recordings from Nez though. I have a few of the London '74-'75 recordings and they are awesome. I'd love to hear a FNB live show. Wonder if there are any shows from the '80s? Never heard of him touring then but I wonder if an isolated show exists? Anyone ever see this show? http://www.ioffer.com/i/MICHAEL-NESMITH-LIVE-IN-CONCERT-DVD-RARE--45416436

Total Control reported that Nez had the flu when he did the Britt concert. If that's true, that's pretty good, as I couldn't tell the difference.

Nez did include a couple of tracks from a concert, I think it was either 1980 or 81, as bonus tracks on Live At The Palais. Great Stuff. He should put that out as a whole album.

As far as him having the flu and performing well, I must say that I'm impressed. Of course, he is a Christian Scientist.

I wouldn't release a concert myself if I had the flu personally. But than again, I've never performed live before, let alone w/ the flu.

I believe he was revived backstage w/ pure oxgen. Or this could have been specualation.

Hi gang, new to the group, thrilled to be here! Personally I'd love to see a decent reissue of the Bell LP-"Road to Love" and "Look at Me' have always been faves of mine. As for Nez, wasn't ther a BBC recording of him doing a solo acoustic thing around the time of the Prison? I seem to recall it having a beautiful version of "Dance Between the Raindrops" on it.

As for an solo BBC session, it's probably been bootleged. It sounds familar, I think under the Prison Tapes?

Yes, the Davy Jones album on Bell Records should have been on CD long ago. I wonder if it's a problem with the rights that's keeping it in the vault.

Yeah. The least they could do is put it up for download on itunes or emusic.

Well @ least there's still the records out there.

Yeah, Rhino should do like what the bootleggers did, release a Davy Jones: 1965-1971 Anthogloy.

Not only is "Wichita" a better mix,it's a Remix, along with an Updated Track Sequence which mimicks what Nesmith himself wanted as the track lising...in other words, the sequencing has been slightly altered (i.e.,moved around,as in most of the original Lp). Michael Boyce
